As autumn leaves start to paint the town in shades of red and gold, there’s an event on the horizon that promises to add an extra sprinkle of seasonal joy to our community calendar. The much-anticipated Trick-or-Treat Trail is returning to Marshbank Park this October, offering a perfect blend of fun and frights for families looking to celebrate Halloween in a safe and scenic setting. This year’s event, scheduled for Sunday, October 27, 2024, promises a multitude of treats (and maybe a few harmless tricks) for those who dare to walk the half-mile paved trail.
Mark your calendars for a spook-tacular afternoon with sessions starting at 3:00 pm, 3:30 pm, 4:00 pm, and 4:30 pm. This family-friendly event invites participants of all ages to don their most creative costumes and wander among the autumnal beauty of Marshbank Park. Along the way, trick-or-treaters will encounter a host of costumed characters, local businesses, and organizations eager to fill the provided treat bags with goodies. Each registration includes a treat bag essential for collecting treats, as well as cider and donuts to enjoy. A registration fee of $9 per child for residents and $11 for nonresidents is required, and interested parties are urged to act quickly as slots fill up and no on-site registration will be available.
